The first time it opens, the wallet app shows a welcome screen with two ways to set up your wallet.
  1. Create new wallet: Generates a fresh wallet and its seed phrase, in the steps below.
  2. Import existing wallet: Brings back a wallet you already own from its seed phrase.

Select Create new wallet

On the welcome screen, select Create new wallet.

Name the wallet

Enter a display name (it doesn’t affect recovery) and select Continue.

Write down your seed phrase

The wallet app generates your 12-word seed phrase. Write the words down in order, put them somewhere safe and offline, then select Continue.

Your seed phrase is the only way to recover your bitcoin if you lose this device, and anyone who reads it can spend from your wallet. Keep it offline and never share it.

Confirm your seed phrase

Select the 12 words in the order you wrote them down. The wallet app flags a wrong pick so you can correct it. Once all 12 are in place, select Continue.

Confirm the network and servers

The wallet app shows the network, Ark server, and chain source, which you can’t change here. Select Continue to finish.The dashboard opens with an empty balance.
With your seed phrase written down, the next thing to do is set up continuous backups.
